Organic Assam - Hathikuli - Black Tea

The Hathikuli Tea Estate is close to the Kaziranga National Park in Assam and is often visited by roaming elephants, hence the name: ‘hati’ meaning elephant and ‘kuli’ meaning often! This region cultivates noticeably pretty teas and is one of the largest certified organic cultivation areas in the Assam Valley south of the River Bramaputhra. The leaves present you with a glowing copper coloured cup and strong, spicy scent with a malty, slightly bread-like flavour.

Brewing Instructions:

- one teaspoon/cup
- 98 ̊C water temperature
- steep for approx. 3-5 mins
- can be enjoyed with or without milk
- may not be reinfused
