Origin: Kenya
Grade: GFOP
Orthodox tea qualities from Africa have become absolute rarities, with 99% of Kenya's export tea business today made up of CTC (Cut – Tear – Curl) teas of which Great Britain is one of the biggest consumers.
Our tea is a Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe (or GFOP) grown on the highland estate Kaproret in the district of Kericho. It is an area perfect for production all year around due to its equatorial location, high altitude (which tempers the equatorial heat) and heavy rainfall. This very special high grade tea has all the qualities associated with a delicious Kenyan brew that we have come to love. The cup is a clean bright coppery orange that has plenty of strength and maltiness ideal with a smidgen of milk. Easy to drink at any time of day.
